Treatment of infertility

Updated on June 20, 2013

In case of persistent infertility for several months, it should first review the lifestyle: remove tobacco, limiting alcohol and coffee, learn to manage stress, lose excess weight, move away from pollution and electromagnetic fields, use only environmentally friendly products for the maintenance of the house and garden, eat organic, avoid prolonged heat sources on the lower abdomen, exercise, get some fresh air and have ... sex every 2 or 3 days during the time of ovulation. It should not be a constraint that ... the tenderness and love, is the motto!

Infertility is often seen as a failure, shame, guilt, worthlessness ... it is important to out of these thoughts ... nobody is guilty, and nobody is responsible. We must look to the future (not the past) and just accept change their lifestyle to live a healthier life.

When a case is found, the treatment of infertility will merge with the treatment of the cause endometriosis, blocked fallopian tubes, uterus distorted varicocele in men, hyperprolactinemia, etc...

But apart from these situations, when no cause is observable, it is often hormonal problems that are responsible for: hormone therapy (estrogen, progesterone or testosterone) can already begin to regulate hormonal cycles in women or resume spermatogenesis in men.

If treatment failure undertaken, ovulation induction may be offered to boost ovulation. They are to unlock the manufacture of FSH, a hormone in the brain that allows the maturation of an ovum an ultrasound of ovulation can be together. There are many remedies (Clomiphene citrate, chorionic gonadotropin.) They are in the form of oral tablets or injectable products (sometimes with a pump house that slowly distills the product throughout the normal period of ovulation).

Then if the drivers were not effective, they need to use the GPA. Today, one in 20 children born with one of these techniques:

- Artificial insemination with the partner's sperm or donor defect is indicated in case of failure of ovulation induction, abnormal cervical or uterine mucus, low sperm, and erectile dysfunction or premature.

- In vitro fertilization (IVF), which consists in a test tube to fertilize two or three eggs with sperm (husband or failing donor) and put an embryo in the womb, while other embryos are frozen (which may be used in case of failure of the first attempt). An assisted hatching of waiting 5 or 6 days before implantation can be effective in some cases. The technique of "comparative genomic hybridization" (array CGH) can now select eggs without chromosomal abnormality and therefore more likely to be fertilized. In other situations, IVF will be with donor eggs. Finally, the embryo could be implanted in a "surrogate”.

- Injection intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) involves artificially sperm penetrate the egg. This allows fertilization with sperm from the husband when deficient.

To get an idea of the chances of success of these therapies, you should know that in 1000 IVF attempts, embryo implantation is performed in 830 women. About 260 of them will have a positive pregnancy test ... to reach 180 of them who have a child ... Anyway IVF may largely compensate for infertility in young women, much less women older. These treatments are often long and difficult to bear. They are often accompanied by weight gain and more or less important than other inconveniences.

Other treatments are also very interesting:

• The power supply is the first consideration. It should be organic and rich in fruits, vegetables and salads ... and for antioxidants in olive oil, nuts and fish for omega 3 and 6. Sweets, alcohol and coffee will be limited.

• Nutritherapy will address iron deficiency, but also provide antioxidants that can fight against pollution free radicals, co-enzyme Q10 has demonstrated its effectiveness on infertility, magnesium and vitamin B6 that will bring positive energy to ovulation and spermatogenesis and will fight against stress, evening primrose oil, which is very attractive in female hormonal disorders, but also zinc and zinc-copper act to stimulate sex hormones. It may be interesting to do blood tests to look for a deficiency in vitamin D and iodine.

• Homeopathy provides many remedies that can balance the sex hormones (in some situations) but also to boost ovulation. For example, a dose of ovary or pituitary 4CH to the 12th or 13th day of the cycle is often effective.

• In phytotherapy, plant sovereign cases of female infertility, it is sage.

• Acupuncture, Auriculotherapy, Qi Gong methods that boost energy circulation. They often produce excellent effects on infertility.

Acupuncture: Acupuncture performed 25 minutes before and after embryo transfer increased IVF pregnancy rates of IVF in a German study published in 2002. In 2006 a similar study by the University of South Australia, the chances that the acupuncture group (although not statistically significant) were 1.5 higher than the control group.

• Psychotherapy, NLP, EFT can act on the stress caused by infertility ... and stress can be both cause and consequence. Some women are so eager to have a child, if distressed at the idea of not being able to have one ... that the only anxiety inhibits ovulation and stops ... A little psychological work will help to overcome this fear ... that which can also sometimes solve the problem of infertility.

• Energy medicine is also very effective. Energy blockages in an ovary or testis are often the cause of infertility. The lifting of the blockade often solves infertility in two months.

• Finally, in case of poisoning by a pollutant detoxification is needed: organic chlorella, cilantro, garlic, spirulina, selenium.

• The pulsed electromagnetic fields.

Infertility has become a scourge in our modern societies, knowledge of causes explains perfectly why. Solutions exist, but that does not prevent long way to go to finally get to give birth to a beautiful baby.
